Preparing HEARTS, MINDS and HANDS for Christian Leadership
HEARTS
Programs in the School of Biblical and Theological Studies encourage students to grow spiritually. Our classes, global travel experiences and extracurricular activities are designed to cultivate hearts that seek God. Our Christlike professors, several of whom are also pastors, are eager to mentor students, helping them deepen their faith and commitment to Jesus Christ.
MINDS
A distinctive trait of Carson-Newman’s School of Biblical and Theological Studies is its commitment to intellectual excellence. Students are taught by faculty who have earned doctoral degrees from top-tier research universities such as Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and Yale. Our professors inspire their students to think about the Scriptures and the world in ways that are careful, clear and Christian.
HANDS
Programs in the School of Biblical and Theological Studies are practically oriented. Students gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Christian ministry, including preaching, missions and service. Graduates of our programs are prepared for actual ministry in the real world.
CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP
According to Carson-Newman’s mission statement, Christian leadership is servant leadership. The church and the world need leaders who will exhibit the attitude of Christ, who modeled humble and sacrificial leadership (Mark 10:42-45).
If you want to grow in your walk with God, hone your mind, gain ministry experience and use your education to serve others sacrificially, then you should consider a program in Carson-Newman’s School of Biblical and Theological Studies.
